Language certifications

As a reminder, in addition to the recognized language certifications, which are valid for four years (see the list of acceptable certifications), the admission requirement is also considered fulfilled in the cases listed below.

For bachelor’s degree programs in English (English Curricula), those who meet the B2 language requirement are also considered to meet the B2 language requirement:

• Have completed high school or at least one year of college in countries where English is the language of instruction;
• have obtained a qualification (final state examination of upper secondary school or university degree) in Italy or abroad, after completion of a course of study taught entirely in English;
• Have INVALSI English language certification at least level B2 listening and reading.

For master’s degree programs , those who meet the B2 language requirement are also considered to meet the B2 language requirement:

• Have earned a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in English;
• have taken a university examination in English language level B2 (submission of a course syllabus from which it is clear that this is the level achieved is required);
• have taken the Business English exam, a teaching offered in the Department’s three-year degree programs;
• Have passed the B2 English language test for Erasmus+ students (Outgoing Mobility) in the three-year or master’s degree program;
• Have obtained an INVALSI certification level B2 listening and reading.

We remind you that, in addition to the recognized linguistic certifications, the validity of which is four years (see the list of acceptable certifications ), the admission requirement is also considered satisfied in the cases listed below.

For Bachelor Degrees in English (English Curricula), those who:

• Have completed high school or at least one year of college in countries where English is the language of instruction;
• have obtained a qualification (final upper secondary school state exam or university qualification) in Italy or abroad, at the end of a course of study held entirely in English;
• Have an INVALSI English language certification at least level B2 listening and reading.

For master’s degree courses, those who:

• Have obtained a three-year degree (or equivalent) in English;
• have passed a B2 level university English language exam (submission of a course program which clearly shows that this is the level achieved is required);
• have taken the Business English exam, offered in the Department’s three-year degree courses;
• Have passed the B2 English language test for Erasmus+ students (Outgoing Mobility) in the three-year or master’s degree course;
• Have obtained an INVALSI level B2 listening and reading certification.
